Welcome to the Curriculum Department Home Page

The Office of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for the on-going and cyclical curriculum development, renewal and revision on a yearly basis.

The Director of Curriculum works closely with each school’s professional learning communities, literacy coaches and administration to review the teaching, learning and assessment opportunities for all students. East Windsor believes that all students can be successful and that the East Windsor programs will prepare them for any post-secondary experience.

To support PK-12 vertical alignment and articulation, the Director of Curriculum and Instruction meets with literacy coaches, district leadership teams, Elementary and Secondary Principals and district PK-12 interdisciplinary vertical team, and English Language Arts and Mathematics Curriculum Cadres.

The office also collaboratively plans and develops ongoing professional development to support district and state initiatives, East Windsor’s instructional foci and promising practices. Additional opportunities for learning are provided by expert teachers in East Windsor during monthly Optional Workshops after school.

All professional development activities remain in compliance with state mandated guidelines and CEU (Continuing Education Units) program.

The Office of Curriculum and Instruction also oversees and supports;

  • Carl D. Perkins Program
  • Bilingual ELL/ESL Program
  • Standardized and district benchmark assessments
  • TEAM – Teacher Mentoring
  • Student Teacher and Practicum Placements
  • Grant Writing
  • Technology Integration
