      1.       CAPT continues today with a full school day for all students.

      2.       Progress Reports: if you did not receive your progress report on Friday, please stop by the office.

      3.       The library will be closed F and G periods tomorrow.

      4.       Community Conversation with Mr. O'Reilly will be held Wednesday at 5:45 in the café. Parents and community members are invited to discuss general issues and ideas they may have.

      5.       An NHS volleyball tournament will be held this Friday from 6PM - 9:30PM. Sign up your teams during lunch. Prizes will be awarded for Women's Bracket, Men's and Co-ed Bracket, and Best Team Uniform. Teams may only be made up of EWHS students and faculty only. We welcome EWHS students to watch the tournament for the great low price of $1.00 dollar. Parents who would like to stay are encouraged to become judges for the Best Team Uniform and there is NO charge for their attendance. If you have questions please contact Mrs. Currey, room B-5, before or after school.

      6.       The East Windsor Parks and Recreation Department is once again sponsoring a Limerick Contest. This contest is open to East Windsor Residents ONLY! This year our theme is Community. Create a limerick, and tell us what's great about the Community of East Windsor. Please see Mrs. Maltese in the Parks and Rec Office for an official entry form or to drop off your entry. Entries must be received by March 12.

      7.       Sophomores and Juniors: Are you a student who has the following characteristics:  The ability to lead; Strong academic standing; The ability to work successfully with others; An interest in and a commitment to community service.  If so, you are invited to apply for the Capitol Region Interdistrict Leadership Academy.  This program offers many opportunities including a seven day all expenses paid Outward Bound experience in Colorado from June 26 to July 3, 2010!  The application deadline is March 12.  Interested students should see their counselor as soon as possible for an application.

        • Progress Reports will be distributed after E period today. Please go by your homeroom on your way to F period class to pick up your progress report.
        • Graduate & Celebrate is sponsoring an East Windsor Extreme Bowling Night at Bradley Bowl tonight from 10 pm - 1 am.  The price is $17, which includes shoe rental, and tickets will be on sale during lunch.  It is the same price as tickets bought at the door, however, Bradley Bowl will donate $5 to G&C for every advance ticket sold.
        • Congratulations and thank you for your participation in the BMX Skate Park Butter Braid Fundraiser!  Your hard work paid off tremendously!!!  Please remember to be at the East Windsor Middle School front parking lot tomorrow between 9am and 12 noon to pick up your orders.  If you need to make other arrangements, please call either Lori Gabriel at 860-623-0883 or Brenda Crockett at 860-370-9595 prior to Saturday. 
        • Princess & the Prom’s 4th Annual Gown Giveaway Event will be held March 26 - 28 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Windsor, CT Pre-registration is required, visit www.princessandtheprom.org for details and to register.
